What is your poison ?

This cafe is open for conversations for all my friends, family and kindred spirits elsewhere . Distances ,time constraints are not such a big deal, is it, to share a coffee in cyber space along with a slice of life? Cappuccino is my personal favourite but you can have your frappe or expresso or mocha, even Irish creme ! "Only coffee ?" some folks want to know. Well , sadly for them, this is not a pub since I don't have the taste, head nor the stomach for anything else more spirited. It's near embarrassing to go to parties and decline a drink. You don't drink, they ask incredulously, not even a glass of white wine ? What can I say ? Among journalists, the fraternity one most hangs out with, drinking is considered an occupational hazard. My husband , the well- heeled traveller, asks me what I would do in France where wine not water is served everywhere. Well, that is Marie Antoinette's country for you.And I for one is not about to go on a Parisian sojourn much as I would love to. Practically everyone has their favourite poison these days.My daughter discovered Coke accidently (???) at age five months and has not stopped guzzling since despite all our warnings of acids in her elixir. As for me my daily caffeine fix is the wake up cuppa only. ( Btw, Italians drink their cappuccinnos only in the mornings ! ) But a coffee here anytime is welcome..
